The Sea or miss and hit
As part of Shingle beach of Jurmo I wanted to make block with sea or waves as they crash on the beach. I had a rough idea what they should look like and made a test block. It was at all what I thought it would. It was a miss. On the other hand it looked very good, so good that I had to try another one. And so another project -The Sea started. So it was a hit. Go figure.

This was actually second trial for a sea image. First one had a lot of bubbles in the water (white area) that wood game through far too much and image lacked contrast and was weak and flat. So I chose more contrasty and darker image on the second go. I didn't have any close shot from the sea at Jurmo so I had to settle for a longer shot. It was a trial anyway.
Sandy beach
In Ruissalo, Turku I was able to find some open water. It was nice sunny day and sand at the beach has nice brown sandy colour. Since this is still a test I just used auto in Lightroom develop-module and it gave methese lovely golden hues. I just had to try image transfer on wood.
I love sea
Sunshine and sea create brilliant tones. Waves add details and make images breath and jump. I want more.
